But, what does that mean ?
ECOVERO
The wood used for the ECOVERO fibers comes from sustainable forests. They are suitable for a sustainable lifestyle, contributing to a cleaner environment and having minimal water consumption. It is part of the greatest transparency and the most complete traceability. The final fabric is an ecological, durable, strong, silky and breathable viscose.
Organic cotton
Organic cotton is cotton grown without pesticides, insecticides or chemicals. Natural compost replaces chemical fertilizers. Organic cotton is water efficient, safe for farmers, non-polluting for the environment, soft, resistant, healthy and hypoallergenic.
Reach
REACH is a European regulation put in place in 2007 which allows "to identify, evaluate and control chemical substances manufactured, imported, placed on the European market". As far as we are concerned ; textile, it is the paint which comes from it, (being a chemical product) which has the obligation to be registered with REACH. The primary objective of this regulation is to "protect human health and the environment from the potential risks of chemical substances". It then guarantees that the product meets this standard.
Organic textile certification (GOTS)
This is the organic certification by an organization like Ecocert, which makes it possible to display the words "organic textile" associated with the GOTS logo. The products sold are therefore checked as conforming to the GOTS specifications, a guarantee throughout the supply chain to consumers.
On what items can I find these labels?
In the new autumn-winter 2023 collection, you'll find a number of products bearing the organic cotton or EcoVero labels. We've put together a non-exhaustive selection of certified models.
In EcoVero, you can find the Awarane blouse, the Oki dress or the Febine blouse, all available in different prints, and for all Les Fiancées.
You'll find organic cotton on the Kanpur T-shirt, which is so comfortable to wear. It comes in 5 colours and is available in sizes 36 to 50.
