Who is La Fiancée ?
La Fiancée is a French fashion brand founded in 1994 by Pascale Mordret, who draws inspiration from her travels around the world and infuses it into her collections featuring colorful prints!
With natural fabrics and feminine, comfortable cuts available in sizes 34 through 54, La Fiancée creates cheerful, everyday fashion for all women, regardless of age or size!
A Travel Story
“After a trip to Thailand, I fell in love with the country, its colors, its crafts, and its laid-back lifestyle… The young Parisian I was at the time decided to change my life. I set off again, backpacking across Asia, from Laos to Bali via India. I bought traditional fabrics—ikats and batiks—which I had transformed into jackets or dresses in small sewing workshops. A fusion of styles that would define this first collection, born on the banks of the great, legendary river, and give the brand its original name: La Fiancée.
Having the opportunity to travel to create and seek inspiration on the other side of the world—that’s why I chose this career.
One thing led to another, and La Fiancée evolved into a lifestyle brand offering a mix of home decor, textiles, and accessories. In 2004, the printed cotton voile tunic—inspired by Indian kurtas—became the brand’s signature piece. This marked the beginning of printed fashion, which would go on to be featured across the entire wardrobe: the hallmark of La Fiancée.
The most wonderful adventures are built and shared. I am convinced that La Fiancée would not be a part of the fashion landscape without the strong commitment of my team, the trust of our partners—some of whom have been with us since the very beginning—and the loyalty of our customers. It’s not enough to have energy and ideas; you have to be able to bring them to life and share them.”

Inspired Prints
Each new collection from La Fiancée is a unique and colorful adventure, guided by a common thread: the destination. “So, where are we going this season? To Rio, Zanzibar, or India?” The world is a source of inspiration. A flower, a work of art, or the patina on a wall—these are all points of reference for the creative process.
It is in Brittany, in the heart of our design studio—a space brimming with treasures sourced from all corners of the globe—that the patterns for La Fiancée are conceived, sketched, and colored before coming to life in our collections.
The original prints are featured across the entire women’s collection—from organic cotton voile tunics to flowing kimonos, from maxi dresses to flowing pants, from zippered clutches to silk scarves—and each piece always has that special something that takes us on a journey.
A selection of materials
All fabrics are carefully selected to accompany brides-to-be in their daily lives. Comfort is the starting point for each design, ensuring that every piece in the collection is fluid, lightweight, and comfortable. Natural fabrics take center stage in every collection, notably cotton—the brand’s signature fabric—as well as silk, viscose, and linen.
The goal is to offer collections that are increasingly environmentally friendly and respectful of people. Certified materials are already used, such as LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose and organic cotton in various forms (gauze, voile, canvas, velvet, etc.).
We also want our supplier partners—who have been with us since the beginning of La Fiancée’s journey on environmental issues (traceability, certifications, etc.)—to grow alongside us. This is a long-term process, but we want to do things right, to ensure we have control over every step, and thus achieve our goals.
Upcycling is a well-established practice at La Fiancée. Old fabrics are used to create new garments and DIY fabric swatches. Fabric scraps are also used in various ways, such as for lining our clothes, bags, or pouches.
More responsable
La Fiancée is a small, independent, family-oriented business that promotes kindness and fairness in its relationships with its teams and suppliers. With travel, new encounters, and an openness to the world deeply embedded in the brand’s DNA, La Fiancée has grown and evolved thanks to—and alongside—its partners in Asia for over 30 years.
We support several organizations: Reach for the Moon India—of which Pascale Mordret is vice president—which provides aid, hygiene, and education to orphaned or homeless children and women in northern India; and Prométhée Humanitaire, which helps street children around the world. Since 2024, we have been working with the organization “Un rien c’est tout,” which makes solidarity accessible to everyone. This allows us to offer micro-donations to our online customers and to organize group fundraising campaigns for two organizations—currently Rose Up and Baskets Au pied.
Recognizing the impact on the environment, La Fiancée has drafted a CSR charter that outlines our initiatives regarding freight transportation, waste reduction and plastic use, sustainable and responsible materials, and the well-being of our employees in the workplace...
